The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia participated in Global Forum on Transparency and Exchange of Information for Tax Purposes which was held at the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) in Paris on February 8-11, 2016. The Kingdom was represented by a delegation headed by the General Authority for Zakat and Tax (GAZT) / the Ministry of Finance, with membership of the Ministry of Justice, the Ministry of Islamic Affairs and Endowments, the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, the Ministry of Social Affairs, the Saudi Arabian Monetary Agency (SAMA), the Capital Market Authority (CMA) and the Saudi Arabian General Investment Authority. Saudi Arabia participated in the global forum as one of the G20 member states along with the United States, Germany, United Kingdom, Brazil, Russia and Argentina.
The Kingdom’s Ambassador to France held a meeting with the delegation’s head and members at the Saudi embassy in Paris. During the meeting, the Saudi ambassador expressed his best wishes for the delegation in representing the Kingdom in this important international forum which positively reflects on the kingdom's economic standing and the transparency of its systems in exchanging information for tax purposes.
