HE Director General of the General Authority of Zakat and Tax (GAZT) Mr. Ibrahim M. Al Mufleh led the authority's delegation in the 6th meeting of the Middle East/ North Africa tax forum held at Qatar in Muharram 28-30, 1437 AH, 10-12 November 2015 G. Mr. Khalaf A. Al Mannai, Qatar's Undersecretary of Finance, opened the meeting on behalf of the Qatari Minister of Finance. The meeting was hosted by Qatar Financial Center and International Tax and Investment Center in cooperation with the Ministry of Finance.
The meeting discussed several topics, including the base erosion and profit shifting, VAT, common reports of the countries, the business digital economy and taxes on Islamic transactions. The attendees recommend a training workshop for executive employees focusing on priority issues which represent the countries' obligations towards the issues to be discussed as a part of the G20 action plan to fight base erosion and profit shifting.
