The General Authority of Zakat and Tax (GAZT) signed a three-year agreement with Z Company for Advertising & PR to prepare and carry out a media and advertising campaign to raise awareness of Zakat on commercial and professional activities of Saudi citizens and Gulf nationals and taxes on foreign investors.
The campaign will also highlight the GAZT’s roles, services, systems, procedures and work mechanisms, as well as the communication means that were provided to achieve mutual and optimal understanding and forge close relationships with investors.
The agreement was signed by GAZT Deputy General Manager for Support Operations Saleh Bin Ali Al Awaji and Z Company’s General Supervisor Abdul Mohsen bin Abdullah Al Madi.
In a statement following the signing of the agreement, Al Awaji said that communication with GAZT’s partners through traditional and digital media, including the public opinion, has become necessary as it has a significant impact on raising awareness, strengthening relations and promoting optimal cooperation to achieve the desired development goals.
He further noted that the agreement comes as a part of GAZT’s efforts towards taxpayers’ voluntary commitment to pay Zakat for Saudi and Gulf investors and tax for foreign investors, in accordance with the Sharia and applicable laws and regulations.
