Deputy Director General for Support Operations of the General Authority of Zakat and Tax (GAZT) Saleh Bin Ali Al Awaji launched specialized workshops for accountants and new employees on Tuesday 13/9/1436 AH at the Riyadh branch.
The GAZT Department of Development and Research organizes workshops on annual basis for the GAZT new hires in order to introduce the authority’s roles and tasks to them and improve their abilities. The same workshops are organized in all branches of the GAZT at the same time.
Delivering a speech to mark the occasion, Al Awaji welcomed the new employees and stressed the keenness of the GAZT Director General on holding such workshops.
He urged them to benefit from the workshops to promote their abilities, which will be positively impact taxpayer service.
Employees should take part in training programs and benefit from study programs inside and outside the country, including scholarships, Al Awaji said. At the end of his speech, he shed the light on the ethics and values of work.
The workshops covered a number of subjects, including the GAZT roles and responsibilities, the mechanisms to deal with the website, the tax system, the Zakat implementing regulations, the international tax conventions. The lecturers gave a demonstration on the Online Payment System (Sadad) and taxpayer services (inspection, objection and assessment).
