HE Director General of the General Authority of Zakat and Tax (GAZT) Ibrahim bin Mohamed Al Mufleh paid a visit to the GAZT branch in Al Ahsa.
Mr. Al Mufleh said that the visits to branches were meant to inspect the course of work at the time when the tax returns are submitted to make sure that the procedures are easy enough for the taxpayers to complete their work easily.
He noted that the taxpayers can finalize most of the procedures through the GAZT website. Al Mufleh toured the branch and urged employees to exert the utmost effort to serve and streamline procedures for the visitors.
Meanwhile, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Al Ahsa hosted a meeting on Monday 1/7/1436 AH between the Director General of the authority and Al Ahsa businessmen in which Al Mufleh expressed his appreciation to the chamber for arranging the meeting.
In addition, Al Mufleh highlighted the roles and services of the authority, noting that the GAZT seeks to develop and upgrade the services, mainly in terms of automation of the GAZT activities and the qualification of human cadres.
He stressed that the proceeds of Zakat are deposited in a separate account used to pay for the beneficiaries of the Social Security Department of the Ministry of Social Affairs.
The meeting was attended by Mr. Saad Al Saedan, Deputy Director General, Mr. Mohamed Ibrahim Al Hassan, Director of the Audit Department, Mr. Fouad bin Ibrahim Al-Melhem, Director General of the GAZT branch in Al-Ahsa and Abdulrahman Nasser Al Asmari, Manager of the GAZT Director General office.
