Director General of General Authority of Zakat and Tax (GAZT) Ibrahim bin Mohammed Al-Mufleh received a delegation from the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) headed by Organization Director Gabriela Ramos, at his office in Riyadh on Wednesday, 12-6-1436 AH.
During the meeting, they discussed cooperation aspects and G20 initiatives on tax matters, of which Saudi Arabia is a member, especially the G20’s Base Erosion and Profit Shifting initiative.
Other matters discussed during the meeting included the automatic exchange of information under the Forum for Transparency and Information Exchange and progress made by KSA in the counterpart review, expected to be completed by next summer.
The meeting also emphasized GAZT’s interest in benefiting from the courses held by OECD, and the delegation thanked the Kingdom for its role in translating the model of the Convention on Avoidance of Double Taxation issued by OECD into Arabic, making it easier for Arabic-speaking countries to benefit from it. The delegation concluded their visit with a tour of GAZT’s data center.
