The Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) was established in 1961 as an independent international organization. It aims to foster sustainable economic growth, improve economic and social policies, and raise standards of living worldwide. The OECD develops global economic policies and standards, including combating tax evasion, facilitating investment, promoting innovation, and providing periodic reports to support sustainable development.

• Promoting the consistent application of international tax standards, and enhancing cooperation through tax treaties and multilateral instruments.
• Enhancing transparency through the exchange of tax information, including compliance with international standards on transparency and the fight against tax evasion.
• ensuring the effective Implementing OECD/G20 Base Erosion and Profit Shifting measures to address tax avoidance, ensure profits are taxed where economic activities occur, and strengthen the integrity of the international tax system.
• Strengthening tax administration capabilities through knowledge sharing, technical assistance, training, and the adoption of international best practices.
