 Luggage

Personal luggage:

According to Paragraph “B" in Article “103" from The Common Customs Law of The GCC States, customs duties are exempted from personal luggage and gifts in the possession of travelers, under the conditions that such luggage doesn't have commercial traits in accordance that :​

·        The traveler must provide the necessary documentations such as receipts.

·        The value shall not exceed 3000 SAR or its equivalent.

·        Gifts and luggage shall have personal traits with non-commercial quantities.

·        The imports and exports are not prohibited or restricted items according to the Common Customs Law, and shall not be of items included in the lists of prohibited or restricted goods shown on this site.

·        The traveler should not be a frequent visitor at customs office, or a traveler with goods on a regular basis.


Required Documentations:

·        Copy of the passport, national ID card or iqama.

·        Bill of entry of the travelers.

·        Receipts if found.


The exemption of personal luggage and used household appliances:


No harm shall be made in the disclosure, if you will travel with cash and enter with it, and the time of processing the disclosure form will only take a few minutes.

·        The beneficiary from the exemption shall be either a resident living abroad or a foreigner coming for the first time to reside in the country.

·        Personal luggage and household appliances must be used within the limits of personal use and must coming from a place eligible for the exemption.

·        Foreigners must provide proof of their arrival for the first time.

·        Personal luggage and household appliances must be returned within six months from the date of arrival of the person entitled to the exemption.

·        The exemption does not include imported cars.

·        Personal luggage and used household appliances are subject to customs duties due according to the customs tariff schedule if any of the regulations are not met.

·        Personal luggage and household appliances are subject to the prohibition and restriction provisions contained in the Common Customs Law.

Documentations that must be provided with the Common Customs Declaration:
 

·        Copy of the passport, national ID card or iqama.

·        Receipts for the imported new …..

·        Proof of abroad residency to citizens and proof of arrival for foreigners.

·        Bill of lading in the case of air freight or sea freight.

·        Delivery order for air freight or sea freight importation ( provided by cargo agent ).

.        Cargo manifest for land importation ( provided by cargo agent ).


Procedures:


·        Entering the manifest by the cargo agent for sea freight imported goods.

·        Customs declaration is organized remotely by the representor of goods or the customs broker agent.

·        All documentations and requirements for the customs office.

·        Payments of other due fees.

·        Goods shall be inspected and searched in accordance with the risk factors, and the customs declaration manifest shall be printed before or after according to the followed customs clearance Law at the customs office.

·        Order for exiting and clearance of goods is issued.
