Open data refers to information that individuals can use freely without technical, financial, or legal restrictions, unless its nature requires non-disclosure or the protection of privacy and confidentiality.
The Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority supports transparency in sharing such data to, among other things, encourage comprehensive development and innovation, support scientific research, and aid in decision-making.
E-collaboration channels have also been activated to receive open data requests from beneficiaries through the
Request Open Data service.

The Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority provides users access to Open Data through two main sources: the Open Data Library and the Open Data Group.
The Open Data Library includes import and export data, as well as general statistics on ports. It is presented through a leading digital platform designed to enhance the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s global logistics standing, foster innovation, and support knowledge transfer.
The Open Data Group provides links to datasets available on the Authority’s page in the National Open Data Portal. These datasets cover the Authority’s performance in delivering services, data related to the electronic portal, and other information relevant to the Authority’s functions.
This Open Data serves a wide range of beneficiaries, including logistics companies, entrepreneurs, government entities, researchers, and the general public.
