ZATCA approves auto-amendment of transshipment bills of lading, containers at all seaports

The Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority (ZATCA) has issued the new service of the automatic approval of requests for the deletion or insertion of transshipment bills of lading and containers in the export manifest in cooperation with the Saudi Ports Authority (MAWANI) to include all the services in kingdom's ports.

The new service will enable shipping agents to receive automatic approvals on their modification requests to the transshipment bills of lading and containers. ZATCA intends to use the service to improve the experience of the shipping agents and facilitate transshipment operations at seaports, and promote the Kingdom's status at transit trade. The ultimate goal of the above efforts is to realize the national goals and Saudi Vision 2030, part of which is to establish the Kingdom as an international logistics platform.

The service is yet another step by the Authority's initiatives and development programs to facilitate its customs procedure and logistics services. The main aim is to implement its most important strategic goal: facilitation of trade and achievement of customer satisfaction, in line with the Saudi Vision 2030 goals to establish the Kingdom as an attractive destination for investment and an international logistics platform.

In the meantime, MAWANI attaches great importance to providing a unique and distinctive digital experience to its customers within the framework of its strategic goals to promote the national economy and industry, and perform its role within the National Transport and Logistics Strategy.
