The Official Spokesperson for the Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority (ZATCA), Mr. Humoud Al-Harbi, explained that the total amount of the Zakat received has reached more than SAR 790 million, since establishing ZAKATY 8 years ago, which has benefitted deserving beneficiaries of Zakat, registered for Social Insurance and Empowerment Agency in the Ministry of Human  Resources and Social Development, the service offers the accessibility to select the deserving beneficiaries, most notably, families most in need of housing, divorced families, prisoner's families, and other deserved beneficiaries.

Mr. Al-Harbi added that ZATCA offers the service via ZAKATY App for mobile phone or the official website (zakaty.gov.sa), using trusted, and secured payment methods, through e-payment channels, in a way that ensures a fast and flexible service execution.

In addition, ZATCA spokesperson has explained that ZAKATY service for individuals, comes from ZATCA's commitment into finding a complete Zakat services, assisting individuals to perform their Zakat smoothly, in complete easiness, and to deliver it directly to deserving beneficiaries.

It is indicated that the service allows individuals to calculate the amount due of Zakat of all kinds, including, money, gold, silver, Saudi & foreign stocks, investment funds, real estate, and trade offers. The service also offers the feature of calculating Zakat on gold according to its purity, ZAKATY service is associated to global prices of gold and silver, and the ability to access the prices of stocks and investment funds daily in the market closing price.​
