The Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority (ZATCA) has made “ZAKATY” service available for individuals, allowing them to pay their Zakat through ZAKATY mobile app or the official website (zakaty.gov.sa) for the eighth consecutive year.
ZAKATY offers the ability to calculate the required Zakat of all kinds to deliver, including, money, gold, silver, stocks, investment funds, trade properties, and other with providing the customer invoice, in addition to providing reminders feature for Zakat dates, and the feature of calculating gold Zakat according to its purity through specific algorithm, “ZAKATY” service is linked to global prices of gold and silver.
Moreover, ZATCA explained in regard, the Zakat received through “ZAKATY” service has reached more than SAR 730 million, since establishing the service 8 years ago, asserting that all the payments received through the service has benefitted those deserved in the social security registered in the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development, which is directly oriented to the selected categories via App.
ZATCA has stated that the service is constantly available via “ZAKATY” App for smartphones, the service enables individuals to calculate and give Zakat through trusted, and secured payment methods in banks, through SADAD, “Apple Pay”, Mada, and other secured services that insures fast and flexible delivery of Zakat invoice to deserving beneficiaries, with accessibility to select the deserving beneficiaries registered in social security, most notably, families most in need of housing, divorced families, prisoner’s families, and other deserved beneficiaries, ensuring that the services is supervised by specialists in Zakat fiqh and calculation.​
