ZATCA has called on establishments subject to VAT with annual supplies of goods and services exceeding SAR 40 million to submit their VAT returns for Last July, no later than 31 August.
The Authority urged establishments to file their tax returns as promptly as possible via its website (zatca.gov.sa) or submit them and pay through the ZATCA smartphone app (ZATCA) to avoid paying a fee for the delay. The charge is 5% as a minimum and 25% as a maximum of the tax value that the taxpayer had to declare.
The Authority also encouraged business taxpayers who would like additional information about VAT to get in touch with them through the "Ask Zakat, Tax and Customs" account or the unified call center (19993), which is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week or through email (info@zatca.gov.sa ), instant chat on the website (zatca.gov.sa), or on the (X) platform (@Zatca_Care).
VAT is one of the tax regulations implemented in the Kingdom. It is an indirect tax imposed on all goods and services that are bought and sold on a regular and continuous basis by persons subject to tax, with some exceptions.
