ZATCA Foils Attempt to Smuggle Nearly 1.6 Million “Captagon” Pills

The Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority (ZATCA) succeeded in foiling an attempt to smuggle 1.683.000 Captagon pills in Al-Haditha Port, where they were found hidden in a truck entering into the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia through the port.

ZATCA declared that a quantity of pills was found in the truck tire cavity, while conducting detection and inspection for a truck entering through Al-Haditha port.

ZATCA spares no effort to tighten its grip over the Kingdom's imports and exports. ZATCA vows to ever be vigilant against any smuggling attempts in order to realize its goal for strengthening the security and protecting society against these harmful substances. This is in continuous coordination and cooperation with its partners in the General Directorate of Narcotics Control.

ZATCA called on everyone to contribute to combating smuggling to protect society and the national economy by contacting it on the number designed for security reports (1910) or via email (1910@zatca.gov.sa) or the international number (00966114208417). Through these channels, ZATCA receives reports related to smuggling crimes and violations of the provisions of the Common Customs law in strict confidentiality, granting a financial reward to the whistleblower if the report's information is correct.
