 ZATCA has intercepted an attempt to smuggle more than 850,000 Captagon pills


The Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority has intercepted an attempt to smuggle 852,000 Captagon pills, which were found hidden in one of the vehicles coming to the Kingdom through Al Haditha port.

ZATCA stated that while inspecting a vehicle entering the Kingdom through Al Haditha port, these pills were found hidden inside the spare tire and fuel tank of the vehicle.

ZATCA has confirmed it is committed to bolstering customs controls regarding Saudi Arabia's imports and exports, and to intercepting the attempts of smugglers. This is being done in coordination and continuous cooperation with its partners in the General Directorate for Combating Narcotics, (GDNC), in order to ensure the security of society and protect it from these dangers.

ZATCA has also has urged the public to help in the fight against smuggling, emphasizing the importance of community involvement in safeguarding society and the national economy by contacting the ZATCA's designated channels , including the security reports hotline (1910), e-mail (1910@zatca.gov.sa), or the international number (00966114208417). ZATCA will receive reports related to smuggling crimes and violations of the Unified Customs Law confidentially; Informants providing accurate information leading to successful interceptions may receive a financial reward.
