The Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority ("ZATCA") held over 15 panel discussions with its taxpayers and customers, including importers, exporters, and customs clearing officers, during which the participants' perspectives and recommendations were discussed.
In these discussions, ZATCA spoke to many different kinds of taxpayers and customers. As the customs clearance sector is the key partner in customs work and a supporter to achieve ZATCA objectives of increasing the efficiency of import and export procedures, ZATCA held discussions with a large number of customs clearance officers from a variety of land, sea, and air customs ports to discuss all issues relevant to the customs clearance sector.
Furthermore, the discussions focused on importers and exporters, the express transportation industry, freight brokers, e-commerce enterprises, customs port bonded zone operators, participants of the Authorized Economic Operator -AEO- program (Priority), and port operators. ZATCA also hosts a discussion panel with charities in the Kingdom to assess the issues faced by these sectors in their fields of business related to ZATCA, hear their perspectives and recommendations, and address any hurdles that may arise.
According to ZATCA, these discussions help to improve communication among different types of stakeholders and have a good influence by finding factors that would make operations easier and more efficient. ZATCA stated that discussions are important in improving procedures and providing an exceptional business environment and that it will continue to hold panel discussions with all of its taxpayers and customers in order to improve communication and cooperation with ZATCA's partners in all of its zakat, tax, and customs areas. This helps make the best use of ZATCA's services while also improving compliance and promoting awareness. ZATCA has invited taxpayers and customers of the business sector, as well as other interested parties, to follow its official channels to learn about ZATCA panel discussion dates.
