  ZATCA Thwarts an Attempt to Smuggle More than 3.7 Million Captagon Pills at King Abdulaziz Port

The Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority (ZATCA) has managed to thwart an attempt to smuggle 3,766,028 Captagon pills at King Abdulaziz Port, which were found hidden in a consignment coming to the kingdom.

The Authority has explained that a consignment arrived in the Kingdom through the King Abdulaziz port, and during the customs inspection process through security techniques, the pills were found hidden cleverly inside iron poles.

The Authority has explained that after completing the seizure process and in coordination with the General Directorate of Narcotics Control to ensure the arrest of the recipients of the Captagon pills, two involved people were arrested.

The Authority has confirmed its determination to continue tightening customs control over the Kingdom's imports and exports and its standing by in the face of the smuggling lords attempts to achieve one of the most important pillars of its strategy represented in the security and protection of the society.

The Authority has also called on everyone to contribute to combating smuggling and protecting society and the national economy by contacting the Authority's designated number for security reports (1910), via e-mail (1910@zatca.gov.sa), or by the international number (00966114208417). The Authority will receive reports related to smuggling crimes and violations of the Common Customs Law with utmost confidentiality, with a financial reward given to the whistleblower if the provided information is proven correct.
