Zakat, Tax and Customs" Signs a Cooperation Agreement With the State Customs Committee of Azerbaijan Republic Today, November 15, 2021, the Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority has signed a customs cooperation agreement with the State Customs Committee of Azerbaijan Republic, with the aim of mutual cooperation in customs matters and strengthening international cooperation in matters related to the application and implementation of customs regulations between the two countries.
The agreement was signed by H.E. Eng. Suhail bin Mohammed Abanmi, while it was signed by Colonel-General of the Customs Service Safar Mehdiyev.
The agreement signed today between the two sides aims to provide administrative assistance in order to achieve the proper implementation of their customs law, to prevent, investigate and combat customs violations, and to enhance the exchange of information in customs.
Aspects of cooperation in the agreement also include exchanging information on illegal trade in goods, such as: weapons of all kinds, antiquities and drugs, as well as exchanging information related to customs violations.
