"Zakat, Tax and Customs" Invites Taxpayers Subject to Excise Tax to Submit Their Returns

The Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority has called on taxpayers from the business sector subject to the excise tax to submit their tax returns for September and October, on the 15th of this month as a maximum.

The Authority urged its taxpayers to submit their declarations quickly through the website (zatca.gov.sa) in order to avoid the fine for not submitting the declaration within the specified period, at the rate of 5% of the value of the tax that should have been declared for each 30 days delay in submitting the declaration.

"Zakat, Tax and Customs" called on taxpayers from the business sector wishing to obtain more information regarding the excise tax to reach out via the unified number for the call center (19993), which operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week, or the account "Ask Zakat and Tax" and Customs" on Twitter (@Zatca_Care), e-mail (info@zatca.gov.sa), or through instant conversations via the authority's website (zatca.gov.sa).

The excise tax is one of the tax systems in force in the Kingdom, which is imposed on goods with negative effects on public health or the environment at varying rates, including soft drinks, energy drinks, sweetened drinks, and tobacco and its derivatives.
