​Director General of the General Authority of Zakat and Tax (GAZT) Ibrahim bin Mohamed Al Mufleh led the Authority delegation in the first meeting of the Committee of Heads and Directors of tax departments concerned with all tax-related matters in the GCC countries.

​​The meeting was held at the headquarters of the GCC Secretariat General in Riyadh on Monday Safar 11, 1437 AH, November 23, 2015. 

The meeting covered the roles and objectives of the committee and other tax-related issues at the regional and international levels. They also discussed ways of cooperation among the tax authorities in the GCC, information exchange and possible adoption of a unified stance on international tax laws and regulations. 

The participants agreed to coordinate mechanisms that would contribute to the development of tax authorities by holding joint seminars and training courses. By the end of the meeting, they came out with a number of recommendations that could enhance joint cooperation between departments of taxes at the GCC countries.​
