The General Authority of Zakat and Tax (GAZT) took part in the 12th technical conference of the Association of Tax Authorities of the Islamic Countries (ATAIC), held in Qatar on Dhu al-Qidah 22-26, 1436 AH.
Director General of GAZT Mr. Ibrahim bin Mohamed Al Mufleh led the KSA delegation to the conference that mainly discussed the fallowing issues: The automatic exchange of information and the Foreign Accounts Tax Compliance Act (FATCA) as a model, the Base Erosion and Profit Shifting (BEPS), the Value Added Tax, e-billing, and ATAIC administrative issues.
During the conference, the GAZT submitted two working papers: one on the automatic exchange of information and FATCA and the other on BEPS.
Representatives of tax authorities in 24 Islamic countries took part in the conference in addition to representatives of international, regional and professional organizations and institutions as observers or providers of technical papers.
The GAZT delegation included Director General of the Large Taxpayer Unit Nasser bin Abdullah al Deiban, Director General of Audit Mohammed bin Ibrahim Al-Hassan, and Director General of the Operations and International Affairs department Saud bin Fahd Al Melhem.
