Registration

Any activity intended for earning from capital or labor is subject to Zakat.

Upon the establishment's registration with the Ministry of Commerce, a unique Taxpayer Identification Number (TIN) is generated. Immediately upon its creation, the zakat-payer must log in to the Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority's (ZATCA) e-portal to complete the initial registration. Following the completion of this process, automatic registration for Zakat services will take place.

Registration Steps:
  • Complete Registration with the Ministry of Commerce
  • Log in to ZATCA’s Website
  • Log in to the E-portal
  • Navigate to Zakat, Tax and Customs
  • Register on the ZATCA’s E-portal
  • Complete the Zakat/Income Tax registration form. You will receive a notification once the request is complete.
Terms and Conditions:
  • The establishment must have a National ID.
  • The establishment must have an e-mail.
Requirements:
  • Establishment Registration with the Ministry of Commerce.
  • Presence of the Articles of Association (for companies only).

Filing Declaration

This service allows you to submit Zakat declarations for a specific financial period (including transfer-pricing forms). Your declaration will be available for submission on the Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority (ZATCA) portal by the designated due date.

Steps:
  • Log in to the e-portal.
  • Select "Declarations".
  • Choose the declaration you wish to file.
  • Fill out the declaration with financial data and submit it.
  • You will receive a confirmation notification via SMS and email.
Requirements:
  • Ensure registration information is accurate.
  • Verify the correct declaration type and financial period.
  • Provide the financial data of the establishment.
  • Submit the Transfer Pricing Disclosure Form (if applicable).

Payment & Refund

After submitting or amending the declaration, a "SADAD" invoice will be generated containing the invoice number and the due amount. The zakat-payer can then make payments either through online banking services or via an ATM.

Steps:
  • Receive SADAD invoice
  • Make payment through banking services.
  • You will receive a payment confirmation notification via SMS and email.
Requirements:
  • A completed Zakat declaration.

Certificate Request

This service allows you to submit a request to obtain a Zakat or Tax Certificate.

Steps:
  • Log in to the portal via Zatca.gov.sa
  • Navigate to the “Zakat, Tax and Customs” tab
  • Select "Request a Certificate"
  • Select "New Request"
  • Fill out the form
  • You will receive a notification with the certificate
Requirements:
  • No outstanding declarations or overdue payments.
  • No outstanding obligations.

Submitting Objections

This service allows you to submit an objection request regarding a reassessed declaration.

Steps:
  • Log in to the portal via Zatca.gov.sa
  • Navigate to the “Objections” tab.
  • Select “Submit Objection to Decision”
  • Fill out the Application Form
  • You will receive two SMS messages and an email upon submission of the objection
Requirements:
  • Full payment of undisputed amounts registered before the objection
  • A clear explanation of the reasons for the objection
