Eng. Abdullah bin Ahmed Al-Funtukh currently serves as the Vice Governor for Strategy and Trade Facilitation at the Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority (ZATCA). Since joining ZATCA in 2017, he has held several senior leadership positions, including General Manager of Corporate Excellence. He is also a Board Member of the National Center for the Prevention and Control of Plant Pests and Animal Diseases (WEQAA).
Eng. Al-Funtukh has over 15 years of experience in Transformation, Corporate Excellence, Strategy and Planning, as well as Performance and Business Development in both the Service, Private and Consulting sectors. He has held various leadership roles, including Director of the E-Invoicing Project (Fatoora), Director of Performance Development at Ernst & Young (EY), and Director of Planning & Development at Etihad Telecom Company (Mobily).
Eng. Abdullah holds a Bachelor’s degree with honors in Industrial Engineering from King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals (KFUPM), and a Master’s Degree in Business Administration (MBA) from King Saud University. He has also completed several executive training programs at some of the world’s most prestigious institutions, including Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), INSEAD, International Institute for Management Development (IMD), I.E Business School.
