​​​​Dr. Al-Homoud is Associate Professor, Department of Jurisprudence, Faculty of Sharia and Islamic Studies, Qassim University. He took over the management of the Center for Sharia Research in the College, and supervised the chair of Sheikh Ibn Othaimeen for Sharia Studies. He was a member of the Board of Directors of the Islamic Society of Islamic Banking, and of the Shariah Committee to prepare a draft code of judicial rulings.

Dr. Al-Homoud received a Ph.D. from the College of Sharia at Imam Muhammad bin Saud Islamic University. He has a Master's degree from King Saud University, and has a number of publications and specialized research.​​
