H.E. Dr. Rumaih AL-Rumaih, the President of Transport General Authority, has more than 25 years of experience in the public and private sectors, and his practical experience varied between executive and operational management, he holds a master's degree and a doctorate in electrical engineering from the University of Colorado from the US, and an MBA from the University of Leicester from the UK, and a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from King Saud University.
H.E. Dr. Rumaih began his career in King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology in the field of scientific and academic research, in addition as a part-time consultant in the Ministry of Defense, and then moved to work in the private sector in executive positions, where Dr. Rumaih was assigned as the Vice President of Alkhaleej Training and Education Company in 2002, and then as a Deputy CEO of Operation at Saudi Railway Company (SAR) in 2008, after that was appointed as CEO of Saudi Railway Company (SAR) in 2010. Then the President of Saudi Railways Organization In 2015, after that he was appointed as the President of Transport General Authority and Acting President of the Saudi Railways Organization, and his last term as President of the Saudi Railways Organization ended in 2021 and Dr. Rumaih remains the President of Transport General Authority.
Dr. Rumaih chaired a number of boards and committees, including chairman of the Board of Directors of the Saudi Railway Polytechnic (SRP) and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Saudi Logistics Academy, and currently a board member in several boards, he is currently a member of the Board of Directors of the Transport General Authority, the Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority, the King Fahd Causeway Authority, the Saudi Red Sea Authority, Future Work Co., also a member of the Industrial Council, as well as Makkah Mass Rail Transit, and previously served as a member of a number of boards such as the Board of Directors of the General Investment Authority, the General Authority for Civil Aviation, and the Saudi Company for Exchanging Digital Information (Tabadul), as well as Dr. Rumih participated in a number of supervisory and executive committees, in addition to his participation in many local and international scientific conferences specialized in the transport and logistics sector.
